THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE YOU! Don't dispair - if you need a plan, we have the solution!
Many times an artist (or band) is not sure if he/she needs a manager, a booking agent, or a career counselor (or all three!). We have found that most of the artists who contact us need someone to map out a career plan for them and provide them with the specific steps they need to take to become successful in ministry and in the music industry. Our Music Industry Consultation gives us the opportunity to do this and much more! With over 22 years' experience in both ministry and business, I can help you develop a more mature understanding of your calling in ministry and how that calling is manifest through your music. I have held almost two dozen consultations all over the country in the past year and everyone I met with felt it was well-worth their time and investment.
Our Music Industry Consultation is a private industry-insider mini-conference. Rather than taking your entire team to a tense, two-hour meeting with a record company A&R rep, or attending an impersonal music development training event (with expenses including conference registrations, travel, etc.), the conference comes to you. And you get the personal attention of the presenter (me) rather than sitting in a room with hundreds of others, or in front of an A&R rep tapping his foot waiting for you to leave.
The consultation is designed to help Christian artists develop their calling as musicians into a legitimate, financially-secure career path. During the consultation I will spend 10-12 hours of personal, one-on-one consultation time with you in your city, developing a personalized management and development plan designed to specifically meet your career and ministry goals. We cover everything from developing a vision and mission statement, to recording a CD, marketing and promotions, developing a career as a touring musician, etc.?
At the end of the consultation, we will have mapped out a strategic management plan that will provide us with specific goals, target dates for achievement, and benchmarks against which to gauge our success. If you are serious about your ministry and future, scheduling a consultation would be the first step to take.
Here’s what recent consultation clients had to say about their meetings with me:
"I knew Gary was the right man for the job when we met for the first time and he reached out to give me a hug rather than a handshake. What has been most important to me in the process of choosing representation is finding an agency and manager that shared my heart for the MINISTRY of music, and not just someone that saw me as an object of financial gain.
After the consultation, I felt that I had found that. Along with that, I believe that Gary's experience in the music business and the efficient way he goes about executing a plan for his clients is truly the missing element in my personal journey. What the Management Agency offers its clients is worth so much more than what they charge for their services. I am excited about our partnership and would recommend The Management Agency to other Indie Artists like me." -- Sheena Lewis commenting on the consultation she had with TMA in Houston.
"Right away Gary seemed more like a friend than a business associate. He really wanted to know what we were all about and where we were headed. He gave us a thorough, customized plan to help us achieve our goals. I would recommend him to any artist who wants to make the most of his talent." -- Reverential's Dan Emmons commenting on the consultation he and Steve had with TMA in New Jersey.
The Client Evaluation Report outlining the steps we recommend to develop and manage your career will be sent to you for your prayerful consideration after the consultation.
